This position offers a unique opportunity and an exciting career option for a Registered Nurse with relevant experience.
We are seeking a person with a very good knowledge of the New Zealand health and disability sector and a comprehensive understanding of legislation, regulation, education, professional development, health quality and safety, employment and workforce planning as they relate to nursing.
You will work closely with, and provide senior analytical support, to the Chief Nurse and Ministry colleagues. The role includes providing expert advice [or facilitating the delivery of such advice] to inform policy, decision-making and delivery of relevant activities relating to nursing and the wider objectives of the Ministry.
You will be a highly motivated, self-directed person and take responsibility for delivering agreed key objectives from the Chief Nurse Business Unit annual plan.
A key aspect of the work involves government and health sector communication. You will possess a proven ability to think critically and assimilate and present complex ideas clearly, concisely and coherently and be able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

The position is full-time, permanent and located in Wellington.
