CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST: DIABETES

0.8 FTE

 

This is an exciting time to join the Diabetes team in Tairāwhiti.  We are growing our team with specialist support and relationships to the community. 

We are seeking applications from Registered Nurses with recent nursing experience in diabetes, complex long term conditions, or acute medicine.

This is an opportunity to be part of the growing service as we expand our technology and remain focused on patient-centred care. 

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced registered nurse and you would have at least 5 years post graduate experience and:

  • Registered with the New Zealand nursing council and have a current annual practicing certificate
  • Hold or working towards post-graduate masters in nursing qualifications, relevant to the area of diabetes
  • Be a nurse prescriber in diabetes
  • Hold or working towards an expert or senior nurse level portfolio
  • Works autonomously and collaboratively
  • Be keen to learn new concepts and technology
  • Is a creative thinker and problem solver
  • Incorporates the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi in their practice to promote equity and good health for all 

Those who do not possess the essential requirements may be considered.

This position is 0.8 FTE working 64 hours per fortnight.
