Practice Nurse (Hawera & Patea)

Permanent Full-Time position

Are you a Registered Nurse looking to move home to Taranaki? 

Ngati Ruanui is an integrated health and community service provider to the South Taranaki region, offering General Practice, Professional Health, Whanau and Community Care. 

We are currently seeking applications from Registered Nurses to work across both the Hawera and Patea Clinics.

About the role

In this role you will join a team of experienced health care professionals across two busy rural practices to provide high quality healthcare. 

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing relevant patient examinations, evaluating results, monitoring treatment plans and maintaining medical records
  • Ensuring adherence to clinical procedures, attending and assisting during minor surgical procedures

About you

Applicants will have a background in clinical nursing either in public or private practice, with the ability to travel between the Hawera and Patea Clinic’s.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A current Practicing Certificate
  • Current CPR certificate level 4 or higher
  • High level of interpersonal, communicative and assessment skills along with the ability to apply solid clinical judgement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive view to further education
