In August 2025, we asked for feedback on a proposal to decline 19 applications.
We’re grateful for the feedback we received in response to our consultation. For each of the applications that we received feedback on, we have summarised the theme of feedback we received and our response.
Today we’re sharing our decision to keep two applications open and decline 17 applications.
We understand this outcome may not be the decision people will have hoped for and that it’s disappointing to hear that a medicine you’d like to see funded is no longer being progressed.
A decision to decline an application means it will not be funded for the use requested. This doesn’t prevent us from reconsidering the treatment for funding in the future if new information is provided.
We appreciate hearing from people living with health conditions and those supporting them. Listening to people’s personal experiences and perspectives helps us understand the diverse health needs of our communities.
