Membership is open to all Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners. Membership includes access to professional indemnity insurance (where applicable), professional resources, nursing advocacy, and a network of nursing professionals. We also recognise our Fellows as leaders in their specific field of nursing.

Categories of Membership

Fellows
Fellow Membership is available to Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners with at least five years' practice experience who can demonstrate an exceptional contribution to the nursing profession.

Membership Conditions
Professional indemnity insurance cover is available within New Zealand, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. Members must hold a current APC and/or appropriate qualifications for their area of practice at the time of any claim.
Members are responsible for notifying the College of any changes that may affect their membership, including:

Changes to your contact details, including your email address, postal address, or phone number.

Changes to your working hours that may affect your membership category, including movement between full-time and part-time employment.

Cancellation of your membership. All membership cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable).
Please notify the College as soon as possible of any changes to ensure your membership details, fees, and benefits remain up to date.
Failure to maintain the correct membership category and fees may affect your professional indemnity insurance cover.
