I have been a registered nurse for 40 years in both the UK and New Zealand. I held registrations as a nurse, midwife and Health Visitor in the UK prior to coming to New Zealand in 2007. My clinical background is in community nursing, aged care nursing, midwifery, and family health care. Since migrating to New Zealand, I have held positions as a senior nurse manager in a DHB and latterly as a senior lecturer in a nursing education facility. 

I have been practising nursing supervision for over 20 years and I embrace the opportunity to explore and develop nursing professional practice through its use. 

I am happy to work with the supervisee's preferred model of professional supervision and am skilled in using Gibb's Reflective cycle, John's model of supervision, van Oojen's model as well as Kolb's learning cycle and Honey & Bamford's model.

I can carry out one-to-one supervision and group supervision. I can also provide interprofessional supervision.

I have provided professional nursing supervision training for nurses in a DHB hospital and also to internationally qualified nurses in practice.

My recent doctoral research looked at the perceptions of IQNs regarding the current CAP course and found that one of the main benefits identified from their experiences was the availability of support through reflection on work and communication.
