Introduction
I am a Registered Nurse Prescriber with a Bachelor of Nursing, a Postgraduate Diploma in Registered Nurse Prescribing and over 10 years’ experience in primary care. My work has included clinical practice, nurse prescribing, clinical education and workforce development, supporting nurses and primary care teams to build their knowledge, confidence and capability.
Through my role in clinical education and practice support, I have developed a strong interest in supporting kaimahi through reflection, professional growth and continuous learning. Having completed professional supervision training, I am keen to provide a supportive and culturally safe space where nurses can reflect openly on their practice, work through challenges and strengthen their professional confidence and accountability.
My professional focus is on equitable, whānau-centred care, cultural safety, and strengthening the primary care nursing workforce, particularly within rural and kaupapa Māori health settings. I value honest kōrero, reflective practice and relationships built on trust, respect and manaakitanga. My approach to supervision is collaborative and strengths-based, with a focus on supporting nurses to grow in their practice while keeping safe, high-quality care for whānau at the centre.
