The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
You will lead a team of kaimahi in our respite service supporting mental health, addiction and wellbeing services. Some kaimahi come with their own lived experience.
Provide the clinical oversight and collaborate with clinical teams to seamlessly support tangata whai ora for a short respite stay.
Our practice is guided by evidence-based frameworks, interwoven with trauma-informed and Peer principles. The perfect candidate would role model and embed the values and practices of Pathways, while looking for opportunities to innovate and enhance the care we provide.
In our organization, the position is known as Team Coach and you will be part of a regional group of team coaches, reporting to a Service and Relationship Manager, who will facilitate a robust induction and provide ongoing support. You are joining a great team!
The position is permanent full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm, based in Nelson, with some on call component required.
You | Mōu
You’ll be comfortable working within a Māori context and familiar with Te Reo Māori tikanga. You ‘ll be a great communicator, a self-starter and team player. You’ll be skilled in time management and administration tasks, with strong risk assessment and management skills and the ability to inspire those around you.
The successful candidates will:
Be experienced in working in mental health and addiction services
Hold a current clinical registration, leadership experience would be an advantage
Have experience providing trauma-informed care
Hold a current full New Zealand driver’s licence
Hold a current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one
Have knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Uphold the integrity and mana of tāngata whai ora
Have the ability to work innovatively to engage tāngata whai ora and whānau
Have the ability to work collaboratively with funders and stakeholders
