Humapen Savvio: Update Eli Lilly has made changes to how it supplies its Humapen Savvio insulin pen.
Imiquimod: New look (Pharmacode: 2543907) Imiquimod is changing packaging style from a sachet to a "stick". Pictures and a patient flyer are available.
Rizatriptan (Rizamelt) dispersible tab 10 mg (Pharmacode: 2394634) Due to an increase in demand and delays at the factory, there is a supply issue affecting Rizamelt tablets.
Rosuvastatin (10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg tablets) Viatris, the supplier, advises that there have been delays at the factory, which may lead to a limited supply of these three presentations of rosuvastatin tablets. Pharmacodes: 10 mg 2651149 | 20 mg 2651157 | 40 mg 2651165.

Dimethicone cream 10% pump issue (Pharmacode 2702932) Jaychem advises that bottles with new unaffected pumps are entering the market. There may still be some affected bottles in the supply chain.Methylphenidate Supplier stock holdings as at 10 October 2025. This remains the same as last week.

Oxytocin (inj 10 iu per ml) (Pharmacode: 2577046) An alternative will be available from late October. It is exactly the same product and will be supplied in the NZ-approved box, however it will have a German label on the ampoule. Medsafe has granted a labelling exemption. Pictures available.
Pegylated interferon alfa-2a (Pegasys) (Pharmacode: 2162806) We have had reports from pharmacies of difficulty accessing stock. Stock has been more constrained than usual. The supplier advises it has stock in New Zealand but it is carefully managing allocations to wholesalers. While it is limited, there should be stock available of the 180 mcg and 135 mcg prefilled syringes. If pharmacies are having trouble accessing Pegasys, we recommend they contact Echo Therapeutics, the supplier of Pegasys®.
Salbutamol (Asthalin) nebuliser 1 mg and 2 mg per ml The supplier advises that the deliveries for the funded alternatives have been delayed until the end of October 2025.
