Benzathine benzylpenicillin (Bicillin LA)
(Pharmacode: 2258072) An alternative called Benzetacil has been listed. We have asked hospitals and sexual health providers to use this alternative and prioritise Bicillin LA for people who need a lower injection volume.
Desmopressin acetate (Minirin) Tab 100 mcg
(Pharmacode: 492620) There may be limited supply of this product until it’s resupplied in late June/early July.
Isosorbide mononitrate (Ismo 40 Retard) Tab 40 mg
(Pharmacode 2447355) Due to delays at the factory, stock of this product is running low. There is ample supply of Duride 60 mg.
Konsyl-D (Ispaghula (psyllium) husk) powder
(Pharmacode: 2358727) The supplier is out of stock of this product. The next shipment is due at the end of June, but it can take another 1 or 2 weeks to reach pharmacies.
Levothyroxine (Mercury Pharma) tab 50 mcg
(Pharmacode: 2307766) Due to shipping delays, the supplier expects to run low on stock in June 2026. This may mean that supplies to wholesalers and pharmacies are limited.
Lorazepam (Ativan) 1 mg tab
(Pharmacode: 2139022) Aspen, the supplier, is running low on the following product. As such, Aspen is tightly managing supply.
Brand change for Moxifloxacin tab 400mg
(Pharmacode: 2022362) Avelox brand is changing to Moximed. Pictures and more information for patients are available on our website.
Omeprazole (Ocicure) Inj 40 mg ampoule
(Pharmacode: 2586908) There may a short period where the supplier is unable to supply Ocicure brand omeprazole injections at the end of June.
Perindopril (Coversyl) all strengths
This product is moving to monthly dispensing until the new formulation can be made available.
Ursodeoxycholic acid (Ursosan) 250 mg capsules
(Pharmacode: 2397528) The supplier may run out of Ursosan before the next shipment arrives. An alternative has been listed in case it is needed. Resupply is expected end June. Details are on the website.
Teriflunomide (Teriflunomide Sandoz) Tab 14 mg
(Pharmacode: 2691426) This product is out of stock. A S29A alternative has been listed (Teriflunomide Aurobindo | Pharmacode: 2733099). It can be ordered from Orspec. It is a 30-pack where the registered brand is a 28 pack. Wastage applies.

Calcium Resonium powder
(Pharmacode: 201510) A shipment of Calcium Resonium has arrived. There may be a delay before it is released to wholesalers. The Rosa brand remains available and funded.
Candesartan (Candestar) Tab all strengths
All strengths of Candestar have limited stock. We have listed Candestar Viatris as an alternative. Small amounts of all strengths are being regularly released by the supplier. Dispensing will be listed to 1 month’s supply from 1 July. We are also listing other brands. Details will be added to the website as they become available.
Codeine phosphate (Noumed) Tab 30 mg
(Pharmacode: 2643219) Supply of codeine 30 mg tablets may run out before the next shipment arrives. There is ample supply of 15 mg tablets.
Dexamethasone phosphate (Medsurge) Inj 4 mg per ml, 2 ml ampoule
(Pharmacode: 2690535) The supplier advises that the 2 ml ampoules have arrived and been released to wholesalers.

Concerta: Supply of 27 mg tablets out of stock. All other strengths available.
