New medicine supply notices
Chloramphenicol (Devatis) Eye ointment 1% (Pharmacode: 2576902) Supplies of this product are low due to a shortage of the active ingredient. The eye drops are available as an alternative.
Dexamethasone phosphate (Medsurge) Inj 4 mg per ml, 2 ml ampoule (Pharmacode: 2690535) The supplier has limited stock of the 2 ml ampoule. There is stock of the 1 ml ampoule.
Olanzapine (Zypine ODT) 10 mg orodispersible tablets (Pharmacode: 2439840) Due to manufacturing and shipping delays, the supplier will run out of this product by the end of February. We have listed two alternatives, they are made by the same company but have different labels.
Sensocard blood glucose test strips are being discontinued. The supplier has contacted affected pharmacies. The supplier is providing new meters that work with funded test strips.
Teriparatide (Teva) (Pharmacode 2670399) Teva’s brand of teriparatide injections will be unavailable from the end of February 2026. We have listed an alternative, it is US-labelled Forteo. More info and a patient flyer are available on the website.

Concerta: No stock of 18 mg or 27 mg, very limited supply of 36 mg. The 54 mg is available
Ritalin: All strengths available
Rubifen: All strengths available
Sandoz XR: All strengths available
Teva: 36 mg unavailable, all other strengths available.
Nifedipine (Nyefax Retard) Tab long-acting 20 mg (Pharmacode: 529435) The resupply date has moved out to the end of February..
Rosuvastatin (all strengths) Stock of the 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg tablets has arrived and is being distributed to wholesalers. Stock of the 40 mg is expected to arrive by the end of February 2026.
Sodium cromoglicate (Ralicrom) Cap 100 mg We understand some pharmacies have having difficulties getting stock, the alternative supplier (Orspec) has confirmed that Somex S29 (Pharmacode 2719649) is the current brand being supplied
