A brand switch fee has been approved by Health NZ. It will run for three months and will likely apply from 1 April 2027.
Pioglitazone (Vexazone) 15 and 30 mg tab
The supplier will run out of both 15 and 30 mg Vexazone. Pioglitazone Rising brand tablets are funded from 1 November under section 29A of the Medicines Act. Pictures and a patient flyer are available on the website.
Tamsulosin hydrochloride (Tamsulosin-Rex)
A shipment arrived and has been released to wholesalers. Three-monthly dispensing will return from 1 November 2026. Pharmacode: 2438526
