Codeine phosphate (Noumed) Tab 60 mg (Pharmacode: 2643227) Stock has arrived with the supplier. It will take another 1 to 2 weeks for the stock to get to wholesalers and pharmacies.
Compounded oral liquids containing carboxymethylcellulose Currently all stock is available, although some products are limited.
Lanreotide (Mytolac) 60 mg and 120 mg per 0.5 ml syringe The supplier has stock of the 120 mg strength (Pharmacode 2698161) available. It can take another 1 to 2 weeks to reach wholesalers and pharmacies around New Zealand Aotearoa.
Liraglutide (Victoza) (Pharmacode: 2653990) A shipment of liraglutide has arrived. The supplier is increasing the amount of liraglutide that is sent out to wholesalers. However, there may not be enough stock to cover full demand.
Methylphenidate We understand that people have been experiencing challenges accessing some strengths of Concerta. We are working with the supplier to understand why this is. This is our understanding of suppliers' holdings:
Concerta: All strengths available
Ritalin: All strengths available
Rubifen: All strengths and presentations available
Teva: No stock available
Paroxetine (Loxamine) Tab 20 mg Stock has arrived with the supplier. It may take 1 to 2 weeks before it is available at your wholesaler, in the meantime Paxtine is available and Medsafe approved.
Salbutamol (Asthalin) nebuliser 2 mg per ml (Pharmacode 2154323) Rex has been closely monitoring of this strength that is expected to run out during September 2025. Resupply has been delayed until the end of 2025. The alternative product, which was listed 1 September 2025, is expected to arrive by mid-September 2025.
Sodium chloride (Biomed) nebulising solution 7%, 90 ml Biomed will be writing to affected customers about this issue. The other presentations of sodium chloride are available, but still have a funding restriction on them. Given the short notice of this supply issue, we were not able to remove this restriction.
