New supply notices


Colifoam (hydrocortisone acetate rectal foam)


Colifoam (Pharmacode: 2611120) may go out of stock during October 2026. Two alternative products are funded from 8 October. Details are on the website. 



Venlafaxine (Enlafax XR) 75 mg capsule


The supplier expects to run out this product (Pharmacode: 2713411) by mid-October. We have funded an alternative from 8 October. Details are on the website.



Updated supply notices


Flumetasone pivalate (Locorten-Vioform) ear drops


Resupply has been moved out until early 2027. (Pharmacode: 259799).



Hydroxocobalamin (Panpharma) 1 mg / ml ampoules


The supplier expects to be able to release stock of this product by the second week of October 2026. It can take another 2 or 3 weeks to reach pharmacies around the country. (Pharmacode: 2637391).



Ipratropium bromide nebules (Nebuliser soln, 250 mcg per ml, 2 ml ampoule)


A shipment arrived in late August and stock is available again. A further shipment is expected in early October 2026, which should resolve this issue. (Pharmacode: 2724863). 



Mirtazapine (30 mg tablets)


A shipment arrived late September 2026. A larger shipment is expected to arrive by the end of October, this will return stock levels to normal. (Pharmacode: 2678802). 



Nutricia: supply issue


The following products are out of stock:

  • Heparon Junior (unflavoured) Pharmacode: 2615568

  • Loprofin animal shapes pasta Pharmacode: 2304317

  • Neocate Junior (unflavoured) Pharmacode: 2530252

  • Fortijuice (Apple flavour) Pharmacode: 2224518

  • MSUD Lophlex LQ 20 (Juicy Berries) (Pharmacode: 2711451)



Paracetamol oral liquid: Lower strength (120 mg per 5 ml)


From 1 November 2026, we are delisting Multichem Ethics paracetamol oral liquid 120 mg per 5 ml (Pharmacode: 2650665). It will no longer be funded from this date. Noumed will be the only funded brand. 



Ramipril (all strengths)


Viatris, the supplier, expects the Tryzan brand of ramipril to be available again in February 2027. Stock of the alternative brands is available from Viatris. 



Rosuvastatin (all strengths)


From 1 October 2026, rosuvastatin no longer requires a Special Authority for people to receive funded access. This means it may be prescribed funded to any New Zealander when clinically appropriate.


Any new prescriptions started after 1 October 2026 will be fully funded. 



Testosterone undecanoate (Steril-Gene) 40 mg capsules


A shipment has arrived and stock has been released to wholesalers. It can take another 2 to 3 weeks to reach pharmacies around the country.
