The Role


We’re looking for a compassionate and capable Registered Nurse to join our nursing team.


You’ll play a key role in delivering holistic primary care across acute, long‑term, and preventative health needs, working closely with GPs, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator, and the wider hauora team.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Deliver a broad range of primary health care services

  • Provide culturally safe, patient and whānau‑centred care

  • Support health education and self‑management

  • Administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations

  • Contribute to care planning and multidisciplinary decision making

  • Maintain accurate clinical records

  • Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

  • Help keep the practice running smoothly day to day

 

What We’re Looking For


  • Registered Nurse with a current NZ Practising Certificate

  • Experience in primary care or team‑based environments (preferred)

  • Strong communication and relationship skills

  • Commitment to equity and culturally safe practice

  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a healthcare context

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Well organised with sound clinical judgement

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development (PDRP)

 

Nice to have:


  • Immunisation certification

  • CPR Level 4

  • Experience in long‑term conditions, women’s health, cervical screening, or smoking cessation
