Kia ora koutou,

This is a quick reminder that our initial consultation questionnaire regarding the review of Ngā paerewa Health and disability services standard 2021 (Ngā Paerewa) will close in two weeks on 16 March 2026.

If you have already submitted your feedback, thank you for your time and please disregard this email.

We acknowledge that this is a relatively short consultation window. We want to reassure you that this is an initial questionnaire only. Its purpose is to help the Ministry of Health determine at a high level whether Ngā Paerewa should remain in force, be amended, or be replaced.

While you are welcome to go into detail where you need to, please be aware that if a decision is made to amend or replace Ngā Paerewa, further, in-depth consultation will take place. You do not have to provide exhaustive feedback at this stage.

If you have not yet had the chance to participate, we would greatly value your input. The questionnaire can be accessed here: Ngā Paerewa Consultation 2026.

A few quick reminders:

  • Closing Date: 16 March 2026.

  • If you represent an organisation, please ensure only one response is submitted on its behalf.

  • Further information on Ngā Paerewa can be found on the Ministry of Health website.

Thank you for your continued engagement and contribution.

Ngā mihi nui,
