In a cohort of over 521,000 adults treated for acute sinusitis, amoxicillin and amoxicillin‑clavulanate showed no meaningful difference in treatment failure1. Adverse events were uncommon overall, but amoxicillin‑clavulanate carried higher risks of secondary infections.
