About Gilmore Family Medical
Gilmore Family Medical is a new General Practice that has been open for 7 months here, in Palmerston North. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to become one of the core members of our clinical team.
Currently, the practice consists of one GP, a dual team out front with support out back, health coach and health improvement practitioner, all we are missing is a new nurse. This presents a unique opportunity to help establish clinic systems, shape workplace culture, and develop meaningful long-term relationships with patients from the beginning.
Our vision is to provide high-quality, patient-centred healthcare that preserves the continuity of care model while adapting to the demands of modern primary healthcare. We aim to create an inclusive and respectful environment where patients feel empowered to manage their health when well, confident they will receive timely support when unwell, and comfortable sharing their concerns knowing they will be treated with compassion and dignity.
As the practice grows, we hope to expand our involvement in equity-focused healthcare initiatives, public health programmes, and community wellbeing.
The Opportunity
In addition to providing excellent clinical care, the successful applicant will play an important role in helping establish systems and workflows within the practice. Early priorities will include:
Assisting with optimisation of clinic workflows
