Itraconazole (Itrazole) cap 100 mg (Pharmacode 2354322) A section 29 alternative was listed 1 April (Pharmacode: 2705109). Resupply of the approved brand isn’t likely until much later in 2026.


Lansoprozole (Lanzsol) 15 mg pack size change: Due to issues at the manufacturing site, stock of Lanzol Relief 15 mg capsules (Pharmacode 2482533) is running low. Pharmac has listed an alternative pack size of the registered product (Pharmacode 2726017). Please note that this product is supplied in bottles of 30 capsules. Please consider the pack size change when placing orders.


Morphine oral liquid (10 mg / 1 ml) (Pharmacode: 754315) This strength is out of stock until late June. The other strengths remain available. Pharmacists, please counsel affected people and their whānau and caregivers on the strength of morphine oral liquid that they are receiving and the dose they need to use.


Naproxen (Noflam 250 and 500) (Pharmacodes: 2654458 and 2654466) Alternatives have been listed. A short-dated Noflam 250 blister pack will be supplied initially.


Updated medicine supply notices


Ezetimibe with simvastatin (Zimybe) 10/40 mg and 10/80 mg (Pharmacode: 2725622) The 10/80 mg presentation is now affected by this supply issue. A section 29A alternative has been listed from 1 June (Pharmacode: 2727730).


Heparinised saline inj 10 iu per ml, 5 ml (Pfizer) (Pharmacode: 2339919) Stock has arrived with the supplier and has been released to wholesalers.


Methylphenidate: Supply issue All strengths of all brands are in stock at the suppliers.

Nutricia: supply issue The following Nutricia products are out of stock:


  • Easiphen liquid (Pharmacode: 2450828)

  • PKU Lophlex LQ10 | Juicy Berries (Pharmacode: 2470586)

  • TYR Anamix Infant (Pharmacode: 2405342)


Olopatadine (Eye drops 0.1%) (Pharmacode: 2588048) The supplier has stock of eye drops available. More shipments are coming down.


Salbutamol (Asthalin) nebuliser 1 mg and 2 mg per ml The supplier has stock of UK Cipla brand of both strengths. Both must be prescribed and dispensed in line with section 29A.


Somatropin (Omnitrope) injection 5 mg cartridges (Pharmacode: 2461536) The supplier once again has stock of Omnitrope 5 mg cartridges.


Ticagrelor (Tab 90 mg) (Pharmacode: 2638770) The approved brand is available at the suppliers again. It can take another 1 to 2 weeks until it reaches pharmacies.
