Nurse Practitioner – Residential Aged Care (Part-Time) - Auckland

About the Role

Join us in making a difference in the lives of older people through expert, compassionate care. Equinox Health Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our team providing care within residential aged care settings. This is a part-time position (approximately 12 hours per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to work autonomously while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to older adults.

You will be working alongside Nurse Practitioners Michal Boyd and Sandra Oster as part of a collaborative and supportive clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of residents with complex health needs.

• Deliver advanced clinical care for older adults with frailty, multimorbidity, and geriatric syndromes

• Work autonomously while collaborating effectively with facility staff and whānau and the wider health care system.

• Promote best practice in aged care and support staff education where appropriate

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with current NZ practising certificate

• Demonstrated experience working with older people, particularly those with frailty and complex needs

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to person-centred and equitable care
