New medicine supply notices
Frumil (amiloride and furosemide): Discontinuation (Pharmacode: 2125536) The supplier is discontinuing Frumil tablets. This is a global discontinuation. Supplies are likely to run out in February 2026. A flyer is available to support conversations with affected people.
Mometasone furoate (Elocon) Oint 0.1% 50 g pack (Pharmacode: 2395746) Because of recent unusually high sales, the supplier is out of stock of the Elocon ointment 50 g pack. All other presentations of mometasone remain available, including the 15 g ointment, the cream, and the lotion.
Updated medicine supply notices
Isoniazid 100 mg with rifampicin 150 mg (Rifinah 100/150) tablets (Pharmacode: 251232) The alternative combination product has arrived. It was shipped to wholesalers yesterday. It will still take time to get through the supply chain to pharmacies.
Concerta: All strengths available
Ritalin: All strengths available
Rubifen: All strengths available, except 20 mg immediate release
Sandoz XR: Funded from 1 December, available by mid-December
Teva: All strengths available, except 27 mg.
Nonacog gamma [Recombinant Factor IX] (Rixubis) Inj 2,000 iu vial (Pharmacode: 2487950) The resupply for this product has been delayed to mid-December 2025. It may take another 1 to 2 weeks to reach pharmacies after that time.

Oxytocin (inj 10 iu per ml) (Pharmacode: 2577046) The German alternate should now be available to order. We are working with the supplier to understand when the NZ product will be available again.
Sodium Fusidate [fusidic acid] (Fucithalmic) Eye drops 1% (Pharmacode: 716634) The Fucithalmic brand of eyedrops has been registered.
Resolved issues
Desmopressin acetate (Desmopressin-PH&T) Nasal spray (Pharmacode: 2702916).
Note: Supply issues are marked as resolved one week after when the supplier has product available. It can take another 1 to 2 weeks for stock to reach pharmacies around the motu.
