Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care)


Location:  Titirangi Medical Centre, Titirangi


Hours:  2-4 days a week; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday


Contract: 


Maternity Cover with possibility to extend – Fixed Term

 We are seeking a motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly, supportive and collaborative general practice team.  This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a busy primary care environment.


This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously within scope, delivering high quality, patient centered care while contributing to service development and improved access for our community.


About the role:


  • Independent assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients

  • Prescribing and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests

  • Management of acute presentations and long-term conditions

  • Nurse -led clinics and continuity of care

  • Collaboration with GPs and the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT)


About you:


  • Registered Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing Council of New Zealand

  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with prescribing authority

  • Experience in primary care/general practice (or relevant speciality)

  • Established clinical judgement and autonomous decision-making skills

  • Commitment to equity, quality, and patient-centered care
