Nurse Practitioner Primary Care - Balclutha
on 2 AprilNurse Practitioner Primary Care (1.0 FTE)
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity:
We are seeking expressions of interest from Nurse Practitioners (Primary Care/Endorsed Prescriber) to join our practice. This is a new position giving the NP the opportunity to join our team of 4/5 GPs, 11 Practice Nurses, 2 NPs, 1 EC and supporting administration staff.
The NP will work across the spectrum of primary care delivering services to their own enrolled patients as well as rostered days to the Medical Assessment Unit so experience in the acute setting would be an advantage. NPs with a particular interest in the Care of the Elderly are encouraged to apply as we hold contracts with two ARCs and would be keen to have a NP pick up the role of managing this cohort of patients.
As a Cornerstone accredited practice which has embarked on the Healthcare Home pathway, and with the facility working towards being a Rural Hub under Te Whatu Ora Southern Primary and Community Health strategy, there is huge potential for the right candidate to be at the forefront of fundamental changes to how health is to be delivered to our rural communities.
