We’re on the lookout for a Registered Nurse to take the reins to lead and manage our Brooklyn Crisis Respite service in Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington. Are you a compassionate, inspiring leader who’s ready to respond to tānagta whai ora and their whānau when they most need support?

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Expand your horizons and elevate your team in this unique role at our Crisis Respite Service in Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington. This is an opportunity to shape this peer influenced service by leveraging your strengths and passion in an acute setting. As one of our valued frontline leaders, which we call Team Coaches, you’ll be fully supported by our exceptional leadership team in the Central region to grow and flourish.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm. Additionally, you will be supported to be part of a rotating after hours on-call roster.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing meaningful and collaborative partnerships
  • Being an exemplary Tangata Tiriti partner
  • Working alongside primary and secondary care services, and the wider community to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Fostering strong relationships in your community and be a good neighbour
  • Providing regular coaching, leading, and inspiring a passionate team
  • Living your values at work and making a difference in your community

Mōu | You
You will have:  

  • A current New Zealand Nursing registration
  • Clinical experience working in mental health and addiction.
  • A current full New Zealand driver’s license
  • Lived experience or a strong understanding or peer principles.
  • A demonstrated ability a cultural competence in working with Māori and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Proven leadership experience
  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
