It’s fair to say that this year has been a little different to usual. As we head into the summer period it’s a good time to reflect on our own mental health and wellbeing as well as looking out for others.

There are a range of resources available that you can use to help share wellbeing messages over the summer period. We invite you to share these via your communications channels and social media accounts to ensure people across the motu know that it's okay to not feel okay at this time, that there is help available if they need it and how to get that help.

In addition, the United against COVID-19 campaign Make summer unstoppable - E te whānau, tautokohia te kaupapa - has been launched to remind all New Zealanders about doing the right things to keep each other safe. The campaign shows Kiwis that washing their hands, scanning QR codes, turning on Bluetooth tracing and staying home if they’re sick are the best ways to protect our communities from COVID-19 and make our summer unstoppable. A toolkit with customisable posters, digital banners and social media tiles is available online.

Please consider the needs of your organisation, and the communities and stakeholders you connect with and share the messages and campaigns that make sense for your organisation and channels.

We'd love to see these wellbeing messages shared across Aotearoa New Zealand this holiday season.

Please help us spread the word.
