ABSTRACT:

Title:  Managing cardiovascular risk after a heart event- Room for improvement

The prevention of (MACE, or major adverse cardiac events) in people who have survived an initial cardiac event requires a structured care response similar to other long term conditions. Real world data in New Zealand shows this response is haphazard and has room for improvement. NPs are an ideal group to ensure preventative support is in place for each patient they manage.

This session will outline simple strategies to improve outcomes.
